Activist platform Doetank PEER and the Feminist Club Amsterdam are organising their second unusual feminist filmscreening and this time it is about abortion.
In political and cultural centre ACU, we will screen a beautiful documentary that discusses the limited number of doctors in the US that provide third-trimester abortions for women, after a well-known doctor had been shot in 2009. It will give insights into the complex reality of choosing abortion in America, a sensitive issue that has recently been a lot under debate by politicans all over the world.
However, this is not just your typical lazy movie night! Afterwards, we will discuss and think about abortion rights, moral dilemmas and how far people can go to either protect or protest against it. We want to create a safe and open environment where we can exchange feminist ideas, collaborate, do some activism and have fun!
